The Mission of Genesis in Milwaukee is to facilitate successful integration of citizens returning to communities from correctional institutions, thereby increasing public safety and decreasing recidivism.
Our Services
Genesis offers a comprehensive, transformational program that assists with housing, Employment training, job placement, financial literacy and management to enhanced family development.
Each Genesis participant is received as an asset back to society and serves as leaders for the same community they once decimated. Our program is the catalyst to transitional spiritually, transitional living, and ultimately transitional community.
In Prison Mentoring
Phase 1
In Prison Mentoring
The development of the mentor/mentee relationship to evaluate the deep needs and concerns while incarcerated but before release.
Welcome Center
Phase 2
Welcome Center
The reception of the returning citizen as an asset back into the community by those most supportive, in a peer group celebration format.
Work Center
Phase 3
Work Center
Participants are enrolled in a 40 hour job readiness, job retention training program in preparation for job placement.
Wealth Center
Phase 4
Wealth Center
While in the residence, participants work full time and prepare for independent housing also including financial literacy and management training.
Community Phase

Community Phase
This component will be threaded through each one of the phases to instill their role as leaders in the community in order to affect the community for the good of all.
